This position organizes schedules, conducts, and monitors a variety of indoor and outdoor games and activities for children of all ages. Activity Leaders also assist with specialized programs, including seasonal sports, special events, room set-ups for Recreation Center events, and facility upkeep. The Activity Leader works under the supervision of the Recreation Specialist / Program Manager.
The starting pay rate is $16.00 per hour.
Training Dates : June 2nd to June 7th
Monday to Friday 9 : 30 am to 4 : 00 pm
Saturday : 9 : 00 am to 1 : 00 pm
Working Dates for Camp Duration : June 9th - August 1st
Additional hours are available 8 : 00 am - 5 : 45 pm.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, departmental officials, and the general public, both in-person and over the phone.
Customer Service experience and the ability to enforce departmental policies and procedures and handle complaints in a courteous and professional manner
Ability to organize, conduct, and supervise a variety of indoor and outdoor games and activities.
Ability to organize and coach seasonal sport activities such as flag football, soccer, lacrosse, and basketball.
