Part-Time Newsletter Editor/Communication Specialist

The Town of Plainville is currently seeking a Newsletter Editor/Communication Specialist in Plainville Senior Center. Responsibilities include creating, writing, preparing and editing the monthly newsletter. Designing and managing social media platforms. Assisting with general office needs, including answering phones, assisting members, etc.
Candidate must have a very creative mindset in regard to writing and graphic design work with a keen understanding of media landscapes. Attention to detail is a must, excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills with an ability to work under tight deadlines and last-minute changes. Candidate must have working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft Outlook.
This position is up to 24 hours per week, Monday through Thursday 9:30am-2:30 pm and Fridays 9am-1pm (somewhat flexible hours). Rate of pay is $20.50 per hour. Position open until filled.
