EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
In this position you will: Perform basic bookkeeping/accounting, prepare purchase orders and requisitions. Track and reconcile purchasing cards.Assist in annual department budget administration, preparation and tracking.Assist with the administration of Building Code Cases, including legal notice preparation, proofreading and processing. Coordinate and schedule Staff meetings, conferences, training and travel.Assist in maintaining accurate employee records and files. Data entry, mail distribution, ordering supplies, filing and records management. Review department staff reports and materials for Town Council, Board and/or Commission meetings for accuracy and enter materials into agenda management software as needed.Prepare and distribute legal notices, postings, agendas and packets for public hearings and special meetings. Utilize Town computer programs and applications for permitting, agenda management, records request, time sheets, personnel, financial and contract agreement tracking.Act as the Clerk for Boards and Commissions to include keeping minutes.Assist with public records requests. Assist with front counter duties, answering phones, emails and questions from citizens, developers and contractors.
