EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS- Associate degree in a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in crime analysis.
- Strong background with Power BI and SharePoint, preferred.
Under general direction, the Police Crime Analyst conducts advanced level technical work involving the correlation and identification of crime and disorder patterns, trends, common characteristics and the underlying causes of crime to assist in the development of police strategies and responses to improve the effectiveness of criminal apprehension, proactive crime reduction, and crime prevention. The products are disseminated and reviewed through conferences, conversations, regular and ad hoc reports, as well as recommendations and evaluation of results achieved.
