General Summary:
This part-time (32 hours per week) position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Prosecutor's office by providing administrative, clerical, organizational assistance and support excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support:
- Assist the Prosecutor with daily administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document preparation.
- Prepare and maintain case files, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Assist with the preparation and digital submission of legal filings, reports and audio/video discovery materials.
- Perform data entry, scanning, and electronic filing of case-related documents.
- Draft and proofread legal correspondence, memoranda, and reports as directed.
- Maintain confidential records, files, digital case files ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with record-keeping policies.
Scheduling & Coordination:
- Schedule meetings, court hearings, and appointments for the Prosecutor.
- Coordinate communications between the Prosecutor’s office, law enforcement, and legal professionals.
- Assist in preparing materials for court proceedings, including organizing case files and exhibits.
- Clerical and Office Support:
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct messages as needed.
- Handle general office tasks, including filing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
- Ensure proper organization and upkeep of office supplies and equipment.
Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between the Prosecutor’s office and the public, law enforcement agencies, and other government entities.
- Provide timely updates on case statuses to appropriate parties.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate logs of case progress, court dates, and other important milestones.
- Assist with managing confidential legal documents and communications in compliance with state laws and regulations.
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher in legal studies, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a legal or law enforcement setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is a plus.
Working Conditions:

- The position will be located within the Raymond Police Department office.
