Summary
The Treasury Analyst performs a variety of financial, administrative and technical work assisting the Treasurer with cash reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis, budget deliverables, and other Treasury related functions.
Essential Functions

- Assist Treasurer with the monthly reconciliation of numerous bank accounts and work with various departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with the management and collection of tax title accounts and implementation of new legislation requirements.
- Manage the unclaimed check process in accordance with Massachusetts General Law. Identifies stale checks, pursues claims, and facilitates reporting of abandoned property to the Commonwealth. Clear outstanding tailings in MUNIS and with bank.
- Assist the Treasury staff with the monthly reconciliation of outstanding checks between MUNIS and bank.
- Assist Assistant CFO / Treasurer in streamlining Treasury processes, including but not limited to, cash procedures and implementation of a cash reconciliation module.
- Record monthly interest and Fair Market Value (FMV) journal entries.
- Provide back-up and support for the Payroll Administrator / Assistant Treasurer position.
- Assist in the coordination of debt issuing activities and maintaining the debt schedule.
- Prepare and maintain all Trust Fund reporting and provide quarterly analysis of activity.
- Assist in executing Trust Fund Commissioners deliverables.
- Assist in the audit of Petty Cash.
- Prepare quarterly P-card Departmental spend analysis.
13. Assist with budget reporting and analysis and other Ad hoc assignments.
Performs other position-related duties as assigned.
Work Hours
This is a full-time position with typical 37.5 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 30, Tuesday 7 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related field; and
2. Seven (7) to Ten (10) years of progressively responsible Finance, Accounting, or Treasury experience.
3. Any equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience, with additional work experience substituting for the required education on a year for year basis.
