Job Overview
The Town of Riverhead Police Department is seeking individuals to fill the role of call-in Detention Attendant. As a Detention Attendant you will be guarding persons detained at a police station pending hearing or transfer to a penal institution; Observes inmates in cells to assure prisoners' well being and adherence to regulations and rules; Maintains Detention Log with periodic entries.
To be considered, the minimum qualifications are:
Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
Pass the Psychological exam given by Suffolk County
