What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clerk to Code Enforcement, Planning and Zoning position at Town of Rochester?
This temporary position focuses primarily on digitizing and organizing office records, including scanning applications, permits, plans and maps. This position requires focus and attention to detail. The ideal candidate can stay focused on independent tasks in a bustling and busy office environment.
Duties include (75-80%):
- Working with record's management officer and departments to work through a workplan of accomplishing tasks and creating and maintaining file system
- Scanning physical documents and keeping physical records organized
- Naming, tagging, and filing digital records
Additional duties may include (20-25%):
- Assisting with answering phones and emails as needed
- Carrying out other clerical tasks of the office as needed
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of office terminology, procedures, and equipment
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions
- Experience with document digitization preferred
- Basic proficiency in computer and file management systems
- Familiarity with building and zoning codes, applications, plans and applications preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $20-$24 per hour
- Hours: 17.5-20 hours per week
- Part-time employees are eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO) benefits
