The Town of Rockingham is accepting applications for multiple seasonal full-time and part-time positions, including a water-safety instructor (WSI). Job duties include ensuring the safety of people in and around the pool, providing necessary emergency care, cleaning and maintaining pool deck and pool throughout the day, and cleaning facilities and locker rooms daily. In addition to the above duties, the WSI position is responsible for teaching swimming lessons to all ages. Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must.
Lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid with AED certification are required. The WSI position requires further certification in water-safety instruction. If applicants are not certified, the Town will pay for classes and certification. This position also requires the ability to work some nights and Saturdays throughout the summer. Starting pay for this position is $15.00 per hour, with a shift differential for working Saturdays. Applicants aged 18 years and older are subject to background checks.
