Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, promoting, implementing, supervising, and evaluating programs in each rotation area.
- Provide excellent customer service and handle office responsibilities.
- Work collaboratively with other department staff.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Additional responsibilities as required, adapting to various roles within the department.
Typical Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong interest in and knowledge of public recreation programs and activities.
- Self-motivated, task and project-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks without constant supervision.
- Must pass a background check and drug test as terms of employment.
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior student.
- Flexible schedule to fulfill the demands of different program areas.
Internship Program Requirements:
- Transcripts must be attached with the resume.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Must be a current student attending a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) or a Minority Institution of Higher Education (MIHE) in North Carolina or a North Carolina resident attending an HBCU/MIHE in another state.
