Laborer (Seasonal)

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a summer laborer. As a laborer, you will play a vital role in maintaining municipality grounds, cemeteries and other town owned properties. $16.00 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging and trimming.
• Remove trees, limbs, weeds, debris, and litter from outdoor areas.
• Assist in the maintenance of cemetery grounds.
• Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed while using tools and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate zero-turn mowers and maintain landscaping tools and equipment safely.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for outdoor maintenance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
• NYS Drivers license and ability to drive trucks, haul trailers and other equipment.
• Previous experience operating medium-heavy equipment is a plus.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
