What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Lifeguard (Part-Time) position at Town of Silverthorne?
The Town of Silverthorne is seeking responsible and reliable individuals to join our professional lifeguard team. If you do not have a current Lifeguard Certification please apply; we can train you in house. A Lifeguard certification course may be offered on an interest basis. If you are interested in completing the course, please complete the application process and a hiring manager will contact you regarding certification.
All applicants will be required to complete a prerequisite skills test prior to beginning the hiring process. This skills test is a requirement of the American Red Cross. In order to move on to training and certification participants must successfully demonstrate the following skills.
Continuous proficient 200-yard swim of freestyle and/or breaststroke.
Combined 10 ft. and 20-yard retrieval of 10lbs. under 1 minute and 45 seconds.
2-minute tread in deep water using only kick.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Performs secondary duties of customer service, maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the pool area, and assist with events and programming.
Shift: Weekday mornings starting at 6am, Evenings starting at 4pm and 5pm, Weekends & Holidays.
Hiring Range is: $21.71 to $24.61
Full Pay Range is: $21.71 to $28.95
