CPR, First Aid certified by June 13
Under the direction of the Camp Director and / or Assistant Camp Director, the Camp Counselor is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising a wide variety of activities at the camp / playground ranging from athletics and games to arts and crafts.
Supervised by : Recreation Director, Program Coordinator, Camp Director and / or Assistant Camp Director.
Position Description and Job Functions
- Conducts a diversified program of activities for ages 5-15.
- Stimulates interest in and directs a variety of competitive and non-competitive recreation activities.
- Inspects camp / playground and equipment, and recommends maintenance repair work as necessary.
- Responsible for issuing / collecting equipment.
- Reports disciplinary problems to the Director and acts accordingly.
- Evaluates and makes recommendations to the Director regarding the overall program.
- Attends trainings required by the Culture, Parks and Recreation Department.
