Hiring Pay : $15.24 - $16.77/hrThis position is Weekdays with some Weekends.In addition to base salary, this PART-TIME position is eligible for an annual performance bonus as well as a longevity bonus.Description: This classification performs a variety of general office work and may assist Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center (SOAC) and Parks Department staff with various job duties. Duties and responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, answering phones, entering data, selling retail items and guest memberships, assisting with programs, working with private party rentals, general monitoring of SOAC facility and patrons during business hours, and assisting with patrons in climbing areas of the facility. Reports to Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center Manager.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. While this is intended to be an accurate reflection of the current job, management reserves the right to revise the job. Other duties may be required and assigned. Assists with opening and closing the facility; answers telephone calls and greets visitors Operates the cash register; accepts and processes payment of admissions, memberships, and programs; performs daily balances and reports any discrepancies immediately to supervisor Sells and tracks inventory of retail items Provides information/assistance to customers regarding facility services and program activities, procedures, fees, or other issues; distributes forms/documentation as requested Responds to routine questions, complaints or requests for service; initiates problem resolution Operates a computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data; performs data entry functions by keying data into computer; verifies accuracy of entered data and makes corrections; utilizes word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, or other programs. Assists with facilitation and monitoring of independent recreation usage in Adventure Zones; works safely, observing all OSHA, Federal, State, and City regulations; reports any accidents immediately to supervisor; administers CPR and first aid until qualified medical personnel arrives, if necessary Occasionally leads private party rentals held within the facility Attends all staff meetings, workshops and trainings as required Performs general housekeeping to insure the facility is clean and neat to the public; monitors restrooms and exhibits; reports any malfunctioning equipment to supervisor
