Job Description: Southern Pines Parks & Recreation Department is accepting applications for Lifeguard positions. Applicants must possess or have a class scheduled for current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, AED. Lifeguards need to possess knowledge of rescue procedures and emergency medical procedures. To help prevent incidents and ensure safety, lifeguards must enforce all safety guidelines as outlined by the Town of Southern Pines and remain alert throughout an entire shift.
Primary duties include:
- Lifeguarding
- maintain proper pool records
- cleaning and general pool maintenance
- participate in in-service training for lifeguards
- prevent accidents and ensure safety
- enforce all rules, regulations, and procedures
- Positive customer service
Weekday and weekend work schedules.
Applicant must be a highly dependable, responsible individual with strong communication skills with the ability to follow routine instructions.
Starting payrate: $12/hr.
Qualifications:
- Certification of Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid
- Must be 15 years or older
