Street Maintenance Worker/Equipment Operator II
The Town of Truckee is seeking a full-time Street Maintenance Worker II who shares our passion for quality of life and community. We value integrity, teamwork, excellence, commitment, and accountability.
The ideal candidate is available to work nights, weekends, and holidays under adverse conditions, working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong communication skills.
This role involves routine and skilled heavy physical labor in the maintenance and repair of Town streets, drainage facilities, and rights-of-way. The successful candidate will have two years of experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment used in street maintenance and snow removal.
We require a minimum Class B driver's license or the ability to obtain a Class B or Class A license within six months of hire. This position participates in the DOT Random Drug Pool and is subject to a drug-free workplace policy.
Town employment also requires a physical examination, drug screen, and background check. Benefits include CalPERS retirement, health, dental, vision, and life insurance; vacation and sick leave, plus thirteen paid holidays.
