What are the responsibilities and job description for the ID Checker/Gate Monitor (Seasonal) position at Town of Trumbull?
General Description of Duties:
ID checkers will work approximately 15 hours per week. ID checkers must control the pool gate at all times by upholding the policies and rules set forth by the Trumbull Parks and Recreation Department. Maintain diligence and consistency while checking ID’s and making sure the gate is never left unattended.
Examples of DutiesDuties:
- To verify the all patrons who pass through the pool gate have proper ID and/or Pass.
- To know, enact and uphold the Emergency Action Plan in case of emergency.
- To maintain that pool capacity is never exceeded.
- To verify that young persons are eligible to use the slide at Tashua Pool by upholding Trumbull Parks and Recreation policy.
- To keep the pool and surrounding area free of debris and litter.
- Must be able to professionally and politely interact with patrons.
- Reports disciplinary issues to pool supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have the ability to be certified in CPR, first aid, and AED
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Display maturity, enthusiasm, patience, sense of humor and self-control
- Must be able to maintain good working relationships with parents and staff
- Available for training periods before pool opens
- Must be able to comply with all CDC, State of Connecticut, Town of Trumbull, and Parks and Recreation Covid-19 policies and procedures
Supervision:
- Receives direct supervision from pool director and pool supervisors
Trumbull residents will be given preference. The Town of Trumbull reserves the right to verify all information reported on the application.
The number of available openings is dependent upon the current budget and the number of returnees from last year.
