Hours: 30 hours per week -June, July and August, 4-day work week Monday - Thursday
The Town of Vernon Engineering Department is seeking an enthusiastic individual to assist in the Department's mission to provide Engineering, Surveying and related expertise in the development of internal projects, review of technical applications and assistance to other Town Departments.
This individual will work with our Full-time staff to develop and prepare plans, execute monitoring programs and provide inspection services on a variety of Civil Engineering assignments.
The successful candidate will be enrolled in or recently graduated from a program of study in one or more of the following subjects - Surveying, Stormwater Monitoring and System Design, Public Works Construction, Geotechnical and Environmental Sciences, or Geographic Information Systems. Expertise with computer programs such as Outlook, Power Point, Microsoft Word, Auto Cad or ESRI products is desirable.
A valid CT Driver's License and the ability to work in an office setting and outdoors in variable weather is a requirement.
