7D School Bus Drivers

Overview
We are seeking dedicated and responsible 7D Bus drivers to join our team. We have full-time (benefited positions) and part-time (non-benefited) positions. These are school year positions. The ideal candidates will be committed to providing safe and reliable transportation for students, ensuring a positive experience while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols. The professional driver must be able to meet the necessary DOT physical requirements of the position, hold a medical card and have an active 7D License. A safe driving record is required. Subject to background check and randomly administered drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a bus, ensuring the safe transport of students to their designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment for passengers.
• Follow established routes and schedules.
• Manage passenger behavior during transit to ensure a safe and pleasant journey.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.
• Keep accurate records of trips, including any incidents that occur during transit.

Skills

• Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving is preferred.
• Strong behavior management skills to handle various passenger dynamics effectively.
• Ability to write clear reports regarding incidents or observations during trips.
• Familiarity with school bus driving regulations is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
