The Town of Wayland seeks qualified candidates for a Light Equipment Operator position with the Department of Public Works. This position performs a variety of skills, semi-skilled and unskilled manual labor in the maintenance, care and upkeep of fields, grounds, beaches, playgrounds, cemeteries, highway, basins, sidewalks, structures and facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: mowing, tree/shrub planting, removal and maintenance; maintenance/repair of recreation fields, structures and facilities; grounds keeping work; plows/shovel snow in roads, sidewalks and parking lot. Successful candidates should have a HS diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of applicable experience in light equipment operation, labor, and maintenance. Must have and maintain a valid 2A/1C/4G hydraulics endorsement. Hourly Starting Range: $23.94 to $29.17/hr benefits.
