Job Overview
As an extension of the Town of Webb, the mission of the lifeguards is to effectively manage the designated municipal beach area (both in water and on land) in a structured and professional manner while ensuring the safety of patrons through preventative monitoring of patron behavior and reactive intervention when necessary.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for providing leadership and lifeguard duties by ensuring the safety and supervision of individuals in the water or on land in the designated beach area.
I. Lifeguards are responsible for all patrons both in the water and on land.
II. Lifeguards enforce the rules and regulations of the Town of Webb for each patron using our beach.
III. Lifeguards are responsible for being certified in First Aid/CPR/AED. - Town of Webb will provide training!
IV. Lifeguards should be able to swim and search underwater in the event of a passive, submerged drowning victim within the designated swim area.
V. Lifeguards must have excellent swimming stamina in the case of swimming long and deep to save a potential drowning victim within the swim area.
VI. Lifeguards will maintain their knowledge of first line response to a potential drowning scenario through regular in-service training.
VII. Lifeguards teach and re-enforce children and adult safety to patrons.
VIII. Lifeguards employed through the Town of Webb Municipal Beach are also responsible for maintaining the facilities associated with the beach.
These include:
a. Maintaining bathrooms
b. Removing animal waste from the swim area
c. Keeping the beach house clean
d. Keeping the guard office orderly
e. Be respectful of Head Guards and their decisions.

Qualifications
- Lifeguard must be at least [15] years of age
- Must possess valid Waterfront Lifeguard certification, BLS CPR / First aid/AED certifications. - Town will provide training(TOWN OF WEBB TO REIMBURSE CERTIFICATION COST WITH A TWO YEAR COMMITTMENT)
- Lifeguards must have excellent swimming skills and be in good physical shape
- Experience in pool maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects as needed for maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor towards guests.
- Previous experience in guest services is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Waterfront Safety Certification (WSAI) and Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) is encouraged.

Pay: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour
