What are the responsibilities and job description for the DPW Part-Time Seasonal Laborer position at Town of Wells?
The Town of Wells, Maine is seeking applicants for a part-time seasonal laborer.
We are seeking a person who has a strong work ethic, a team player, and who demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
This position reports to the Facilities Manager. The hourly rate of pay is $20.00.
Essential responsibilities include:
· Paints various spaces
· Building, dock, and trash bin repairs
· Cleans up parking lots removing trash, cigarette butts, etc.
· Cleans and repairs benches
· Ensures trash receptacles are properly emptied and maintained at the Public Works Building.
· Cleans and restocks public washrooms.
· Ground maintenance
· Event set-ups
· Responds to calls for service
· Operates DPW service vehicles
· Must get along with others and work in a professional manner
- Maintains regular, predictable, and reliable attendance
- Maintains excellent communication and fosters a collaborative working environment with all departments as well as with the public
- Maintains cleanliness and safety
- Place an emphasis on safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity
- Follows all Town and Department policies
- Performs related work as required
