Junior Leadership Coordinator
Are you ready to be the superhero of summer? We are on the lookout for an energetic and enthusiastic Junior Leadership Coordinator to lead our junior high age campers in our summer day camp program. As the driving force behind our camp's success, you will organize and execute a variety of thrilling activities, ensuring every day is filled with adventure, laughter, and unforgettable experiences. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing camp activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily camp operations, ensuring a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for campers and staff.
- Organize and supervise field trips, ensuring the safety and engagement of all participants.
- Lead, mentor, and support camp staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and camp stakeholders to ensure a smooth camp experience.
- Handle any emergencies or conflicts that arise, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a camp leadership role or similar environment.
- Previous experience working with children in a camp, educational, or recreational setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).

Schedule:
Planning schedule begins mid-May with flexible hours. Camp staff training is scheduled for the week of June 16th. Camp starts the week of June 23rd and ends August 8th. Schedule is 20-30 hours per week, between 7:30am-5:30pm, Tues-Thurs. Additional hours may be available Mondays & Fridays for the right candidate (up to a maximum of 40 hours). An opportunity to work an extra week (Aug 11-15) with our smaller extra week of camp may be available if hired for the first 7 weeks.
Wages:
Wages range up to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
