What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Lifeguard position at Town of Westport?
The Town of Westport Lifeguards monitor activities in the swimming and beach areas at Cherry & Webb beach. They are there to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers in distress. Responsible for ensuring the safety of beach-goers by preventing and responding to emergencies. Will be assigned to a work schedule through the Beach Manager. The Head Lifeguard will oversee all of the lifeguards onsite and assign specific duties.
Lifeguards must:
Be at least 16 years or older
Lifeguard Certification
First Aid Certification
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification
If offered a position as a lifeguard, applicants under the age of 18 must present a valid work permit authorization issued from your school.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $22.28 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
