There exists within the Treasurer’s Department the following anticipated vacancy:
Principal Clerk – S-26 (Full-time 35 hours)
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Treasurer/Collector and the Assistant Treasurer/Collector, performs a variety of accounting and clerical duties to process and maintain accurate records of various Town accounts. Position requires extensive interaction with the general public, taxpayers, mortgage companies, tax services and attorneys.
This is a union position under the Service Employees International Union (SEIU Local 888 - Winchester Clerical Workers) Current union members applications will be considered first. Qualified applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and MUNIS and be able to be bonded. Prior municipal experience is desirable. Current hours are Monday, 8am to 7pm; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8am to 4pm; and Friday, 8am to 12pm.
