What are the responsibilities and job description for the RETIREMENT BOARD - VOLUNTEER position at Town of Winchester?
The Select Board is seeking one (1) member to serve on the Board of Retirement for a term ending on February 12, 2028 .
The Board of Retirement consists of five members. One member is appointed by the Select Board; two are elected by the employees; one member is the Comptroller and one member is chosen by the four members. The Winchester Contributory Retirement Board is established under the provisions of Chapter 32 of the MGL, Sections 1 to 28 inclusive. The Board meets at least once a month for the transaction of such business as may properly come before it. The Board shall keep a record of all its proceedings. Additional description of powers and duties of the Retirement Board may be found in MGL, Chapter 32, Section 5.
