Hiring Range: The base/starting wage for this position is $15.96 per hour, which increases based on years of service/experience.Work Schedule: Varies (weekdays, weekends, mornings, evenings) May – July NATURE OF WORKAs a member of the Recreation Division, individuals in this position are responsible for assisting the Head Coach with the planning, organization, and supervision of the Track program for participants 8 to 18 years of age. Work is performed in accordance with standard practice and methods requiring initiative to complete recurring assignments independently and sound judgment to determine which methods are applicable in any given situation. Finished work is reviewed for accuracy, quality, and completeness. Unfamiliar situations are referred to the supervisor. This temporary employment may be scheduled through the year on a full-time basis depending on the needs of the town but will not exceed six months in length (or 1,040 hours, whichever comes first). This is strictly temporary employment. Please note that town employees (including seasonal employees) may only be employed in one classification at any one given time. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSThe individual in the Assistant Coach role is assigned specific assignments, job duties, scope, authority, responsibility, roles and requirements as determined by the town, department, division, and pursuant to laws, regulation and practices.
