What are the responsibilities and job description for the OCEAN RESCUE LIFEGUARD position at Town of Wrightsville Beach?
Description
The Town of Wrightsville Beach is accepting applications for Ocean Rescue Lifeguards, 2025 season. The starting pay is $19.50 per hour with additional compensation for having your NC EMT Certification.
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to swim 500 meters in 10 minutes, or less.
• At least 18 years of age or older.
Try out dates and times:
Sunday, April 27 @ 8:30am
Saturday, May 3 @ 8:30am
Tryout location: 703 S Lumina Ave, Wrightsville Beach, NC (Crystal Pier)
Requirements
The pre-test will consist of the following skills:
-½ mile ocean swim, followed by a one-mile soft sand run, then two rescues. One will be an active
victim the other a passive victim.
Applicants will work approximately 46 hours per week with a start date of May 12, 2025.
Mandatory drug test and physical is required prior to the start date.
