What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker position at Town of York?
The Town of York, a coastal community comprised of the villages of Cape Neddick, York Harbor, York village and York Beach, is accepting applications for the seasonal Parks Maintenance Laborer.
The Laborer position is responsible for assisting with seasonal work including mowing, trimming, collecting litter, cleaning/custodial, painting, debris removal, athletic field work and general parks maintenance duties. Work is performed under the general guidance of the Parks Superintendent.
Graduation from an accredited high school and experience in grounds maintenance, general construction or building maintenance preferred. Must have the ability to work flexible hours and weekends. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
The Parks Maintenance Laborer position is a seasonal, temporary, non-exempt, and non-bargaining position. The Parks Superintendent or their designee, will determine work schedules and hours. Starting hourly wage will be determined upon experience and qualifications.
