Position Summary:
Are you a finance, accounting, or math major looking to bring your classroom knowledge into the real world? Join our Capital Markets team at Towne Mortgage Company as a Capital Markets Intern and gain firsthand experience supporting lock desk operations, analyzing pricing, and learning the behind-the-scenes mechanics of the mortgage industry.
With increased loan volume and growing interest in specialized loan products like Non-QM, DPA, and Construction loans, we’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented intern to step in and support our team in meaningful, hands-on ways this summer.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lock Desk Support – Assist with daily lock desk operations, including loans and products that are priced and locked manually.
- Pricing Analysis – Dive into data to support pricing decisions, investor comparisons, and margin analysis.
- Operational Support – Help the Capital Markets team manage peak workloads by ensuring timely, accurate processing of tasks related to loan pricing and investor communication.
- Excel Data Projects – Use your Excel skills (possibly Python or SQL) to support reporting, pricing models, and data integrity projects.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills are a must (think: pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUPs, and charts).
- Interest or experience with Python, SQL, or other data tools is a bonus.
- Detail-driven, dependable, and ready to take initiative.
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
