Towne Blue is seeking a full time Nursing Supervisor for immediate hire at a long term care facility in Staten Island. There are floor nurse, charge nurse and supervisor positions available!
Job Summary:
The RN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing staff and ensuring quality patient care in a long-term care setting. This position provides leadership, direction, and supervision to nursing personnel while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. The RN Supervisor plays a key role in fostering a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance resident satisfaction and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support nursing staff, ensuring adherence to facility policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Coordinate and oversee daily nursing operations, including staffing, scheduling, and delegation of responsibilities.
- Provide direct patient care as needed, including administering medications and treatments.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, infection control policies, and safety standards.
- Respond to and manage emergencies, providing appropriate interventions and notifying physicians and family members as necessary.
- Address resident and family concerns promptly, maintaining high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Conduct training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for nursing staff.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports on resident care, staff performance, and facility compliance.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted RN license in NY required.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility; previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications (e.g., Infection Control, Wound Care) a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems; ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
