Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Support patients in performing therapeutic activities to improve their daily living skills.
- Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Document patient care and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and techniques for continued recovery at home.
- Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment, ensuring all equipment is clean and functional.
Requirements
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and occupational health principles.
- Experience in acute care or inpatient settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is a plus.
- Strong skills in patient care, assisting patients with mobility, and daily activities.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
