Occupational Therapist
Towne U.S. is currently seeking a skilled/motivated/top tier, Travel OT to join our team for a 13-26 week assignment in MASSACHUSETTS. This is a fantastic opportunity for an OT who enjoys variety and working with a diverse patient population while exploring new locations. The assignment will primarily focus on a SNF setting for this placement.

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs by reviewing medical histories and collaborating with healthcare teams to develop tailored treatment plans.
Treatment Plan Development: Create and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving patients' ability to perform daily activities, enhance fine and gross motor skills, and increase independence in their home, work, and community environments.
Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including functional training, adaptive techniques, sensory integration, and cognitive exercises to address specific patient goals.
Assistive Equipment Management: Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices, ensuring proper fit and safety.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for patients.
Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and their families on therapeutic activities, safety practices, and strategies to promote long-term health and wellness.
Discharge Planning: Develop and implement effective discharge plans, providing patients with resources, home exercise programs, and community support for continued progress and independence.
