Description
The Breakfast Attendant reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for the following:
- Prepare food items for service at breakfast according to occupancy
- Maintain a constant and complete stock of food and beverage items during breakfast hours
- Set up service area each day in accordance with hotel standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area during and after breakfast hours
- Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest
- Maintain temperature logbook (updated daily)
- Clean and maintain refrigerator and all other equipment daily
- Assist management in daily, weekly, and monthly food and supplies inventory
- Clean and maintain dry and cold storage daily
- Responsible for maintaining all food and beverage dates with date received in all dry and cold storage areas
- Prepare and stock everything needed for the following day
- Operate all kitchen and breakfast room equipment correctly and safely
- Know hotel emergency procedures
- Wear protective gear when handling food and chemicals
- Carry out any reasonable request by management if capable of performing
Special Requirements
- Prompt and regular attendance - the hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
- Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and associates may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work, and overtime as required
- Minimum availability of 16 hours per week for part-time employees
- Comply with hotel and/or department uniform and professional behavior and appearance standards
- Carry out all reasonable requests by team leaders and managers and act as a team player with all levels of staff
- Review and approve electronic timecard weekly to ensure accuracy

The associate is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The associate may frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Requirements
- Preferred: at least 1 year experience in a Food & Beverage establishment
- Preferred: at least 1 year of Customer Service experience
LICENSES:
Kansas City Food Handler License - must be able to obtain within 30 days of hire
