Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry items are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens and garments, particularly in a hotel or similar environment.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers to launder linens, towels, and garments efficiently.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items according to established procedures.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before processing and apply appropriate treatments as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Handle dry cleaning processes for specialized items as required.
- Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and garments.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while using laundry equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, preferably in a hotel setting, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks.
