Overview of Responsibilities:
This position is primarily responsible for the overall maintenance of the hotels buildings and grounds and the operation of its equipment and mechanical/electrical systems. This position requires overall maintenance knowledge and trouble shooting ability with skills in painting, HVAC, carpentry, equipment and tool usage. Assist other departments when needed and perform other related duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain company and franchise maintenance standards for both guests rooms and public areas and inspect them to ensure standards are met. This includes all exterior and interior aspects (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, grounds including snow shoveling, etc.)
- Train maintenance personal in all aspects of property maintenance.
- Act as a liaison with outside companies in regard to the inspection, maintenance, and certification of large equipment.
- Review maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders to prioritize and schedule work assignments.
- Ensure the property and equipment are maintained in a safe manner, and that all repairs are made as specified by manufacturer. This includes HVAC systems and Preventative Maintenance.
- Service the pool including cleaning, appearance, and chemical balance and completing maintenance log.
- Solicit bids from contractors, evaluate their proposals and once employed, ensure work is completed to specifications.
- Maintain building exterior.
- Complete maintenance logs.
- Maintain and order parts and supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste
Communicate with other departments to make sure guests needs are met and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
- Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and stooping.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
