YOUR DAY
Your full-time schedule includes nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
Our Chief Engineer plays a crucial part in the guest and employee experience by maintaining the functionality, safety, and cleanliness of our 112-room extended-stay hotel. You can expect a varied role as you manage all aspects of our property maintenance, handling everything from preventative upkeep to emergency repairs. By closely maintaining areas such as guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities, you keep our hotel a pleasant place to stay and work.
You schedule and lead a team of skilled personnel to complete quality work while performing hands-on services yourself. With a professional and courteous attitude, you resolve guest issues and play your part in enhancing their experiences. You maintain our health and safety standards, care for the pool, coordinate with vendors, and align maintenance services with our operational goals. By managing schedules, following preventative programs, maintaining accurate recordkeeping, and quickly responding to emergencies, you positively impact every guest and employee!
Please note : The hotel is currently in its pre-opening phase. As part of the pre-opening team, you will play a key role in helping to prepare and launch the hotel, ensuring a smooth and successful opening.
CHIEF ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of maintenance or engineering experience, preferably in a hotel or similar environment
- Experience with preventative maintenance or team supervision
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
- Familiarity with pool maintenance and local health and safety regulations
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license OR willingness to obtain
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Schedule flexibility including some weekends and on-call
