What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mold Classification Specialist position at Townley Engineering & Manufacturing Co?
Founded in 1963, Townley Engineering & Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, American-made solutions expert for wear and abrasion problems found in the mining, dredging, and power industries. We have an opening for a Mold Classification Specialist who is responsible for identifying, classifying, documenting and storing urethane molds. Responsibilities include:
- Identifies, sorts, labels, documents and decides storage of urethane molds and cores.
- Responsible initiating decision to “Retire” molds and cores based on sales history.
- Coordinates company meetings, events and sessions throughout the operations.
- Communicates with Sales, Shop and Line supervision to effect smooth operations.
- Manages the official records of company policies and procedures for molding and cores.
- Prepares presentations, documents, files, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Communicates with planning and production to maintain efficiency in workflow.
- Responsible for gathering, storing and disseminating information to relevant personnel.
- Assists the Operations Supervisor in day-to-day operations processes as required and provides innovative ideas on improving the administrative workflow.
- Assist in qualifying and assuring consistent product build as directed by shop supervision.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment by adhering to company safety and procedure policies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Any other duties deemed necessary by direct supervisor or higher.
Requirements:
- 2 years of Manufacturing experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to work as a team as well as being self-directed
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
