If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We're seeking a Director of Business Services to lead and oversee critical financial and operational functions within our district. In this role, you'll be at the heart of managing accounting, payroll, budgetary reporting, purchasing, insurance, investments, and employee benefits-ensuring that our schools operate efficiently and effectively.

What You'll Do

Direct daily business office operations - Ensure compliance with school codes and best practices.

Lead and mentor a team - Assign workloads, conduct evaluations, and make hiring recommendations.

Drive financial strategy - Assists the Associate Superintendent for Business Services in budgetary planning and development, and with treasurer's duties related to the Wheeling Township Treasury Intergovernmental Agreement.

Enhance operational efficiency - Oversee payroll, purchasing, insurance programs, employee benefits and transportation.

Ensure compliance - Perform internal audits and uphold data privacy regulations.

Serve as district's Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) privacy compliance officer.

What We're Looking For

Master's Degree or equivalent graduate training, major in educational administration, business management, accounting, or related discipline

Proven leadership experience in business services, finance, or school operations.

Strong understanding of budget management, payroll, and accounting.

Ability to navigate complex regulations and ensure compliance.

Commitment to equity and fostering inclusive financial practices.

Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

LENGTH OF CONTRACT : 12-month assignment

SALARY : Administrative Salary Range - $148,168 - $185,210 to be adjusted for 2025-2026
