Job Description
The Director of Community Development plays a vital role in achieving the Township's community development objectives. This position involves overseeing the Department of Community Development and supervising its staff.
The Director is responsible for remaining informed about planning trends through ongoing education, which may require periodic travel. This includes active participation in professional organizations such as the American Planning Association and the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS).
This exempt position under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act requires work authorization in the United States and undergoes eligibility verification at the start of employment. The candidate will also undergo a background check, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, and certify adherence to the Township's Nepotism Policy.
