General Laborer
Shifts, 2 Options:
A. Weekdays With Rotating Weekends, Up To 40 Hours Weekly
B. Weekends Only, 3 Hours Estimated Each Day
Season: April - September
Duration: Up To 16 Weeks
Purpose:
To provide seasonal general labor support to the Public Works Department by assisting with general maintenance and groundskeeping, Assignments will include completion of work projects within the Pine Community Park, Municipal Building Complex, or other designated Pine Township Areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Arrive promptly, prepared, and ready to begin the workday.
- Able to work an early morning and daytime flexible work schedule that includes a rotation of weekend hours.
- Knowledge and familiarity with landscape equipment operation, including lawnmowers, weed trimmers, hedge trimmers, handheld or backpack blowers, and various landscape hand tools.
- Operate ride-mowers and a Gator (golf cart) throughout the Community Park and maintain safe operating speeds and functions as instructed.
- May be required to drive company vehicle, if licensed to drive in Pennsylvania.
- Provide lawn and landscape maintenance such as mowing, trimming, weeding, seeding, flower planting, mulching, laying topsoil and water watering designated municipal buildings and park grounds or roadways.
- Installation or replacement of roadway signage.
- Removal of trash or debris throughout the community park, township roadways, or storm basins.
- Removal and disposal of tree branches obstructing park grounds, trails, or Township roadways.
- Clean and detail township vehicles and equipment.
- Sweep and clean garages, pavilions, or Township facilities.
- Always maintain a respectful and friendly demeanor with appropriate professional language use.
- Report and document any observed misuse or damages to fields, pavilions, park equipment, unethical behavior or other park facilities to leadership.
- Be respectful and responsible with Township owned equipment; reporting problematic or faulty equipment immediately to Foreman.
- Responsible for cleaning, organizing, and prepping trucks with equipment for projects, as necessary.
- Maintains confidentiality with sensitive events, members, customers, visitors, employees, corporate sensitive information, etc.
- Participate in company training, committees and meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Familiarity with landscaping or equivalent work experience preferred
- FBI Fingerprinting Clearance
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- PA Criminal Background Check Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Certification
- CPR Certified preferred
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle History Report applicable to candidates with a Pennsylvania Driver License
