ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints related to mold design and repair.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, lathes, grinders, and other equipment to fabricate and repair mold components.
- Perform precision machining operations to achieve required dimensions, surface finishes, and tolerances.
- Inspect and measure completed mold components using precision tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Repair and refurbish existing molds by identifying and addressing issues such as cracks, wear, or dimensional deviations.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize mold designs for performance and manufacturability.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document work performed, including repairs and modifications, for traceability and future reference.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a machinist or CNC operator, with a focus on mold production and repair.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and equipment, including CNC machining centers and manual machine tools.
- Experience in mold making, repair, and refurbishment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems related to molds and machining processes.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in machining operations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to operate machinery and lift/move mold components.

Education and Training:
