SUMMARY
Plans, directs and manages activities to ensure the project goals and objectives are obtained. Prepares reports for all levels of management within TG group and the customer. Project goals and objectives are specific to each program, but always include quality, cost and delivery by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Design and prototype stage: Tracks business award; develops preproduction organization; develops and communicates internal master schedule; develops and communicates preproduction location plan; coordinates kick-off meeting; tracks and follows up on open issues and ECIs; follows up on primary equipment plan; coordinates and tracks delivery status; makes and submits customer documentation; makes and maintains visual control; conducts and coordinates internal and customer meetings; participates in product design reviews.
Preproduction stage: Makes supplier quality assurance plan; checks and follows up on primary and secondary equipment installation; checks and follows up people plan; checks and follows up mass production tooling completion; checks and follows up process arrangement; checks and follows up packaging; checks and follows up delivery status; tracks and follows up on open issues and ECIs; makes and submits customer documentation; makes and maintains visual control; conducts and coordinates internal and customer meetings; participates in process design reviews;
Pre-mass production stage: Checks and follows up people hire and training; coordinates pre-HVPT and HVPT (Run at Rates); checks and follows up provisional and color approval; checks and follows up supplier approval; schedules and coordinates delivery status; tracks and follows up on open issues and ECIs; part release to production; checks and follows up ramp-up; makes and maintains visual control; makes and submits customer documentation; conducts and coordinates internal and customer meetings.
Initial mass production stage: Checks and follows up productivity; checks and follows up cycle time; checks and follows up defect rate; checks and follows up delivery; checks and follows up quality issues; tracks and follows up on open issues and ECIs; conducts and coordinates internal and customer meetings.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates activities with employees in various departments.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in a technical field, e.g. engineering, science, mathematics; or five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret part drawings, to analyze material test data, to analyze performance data, and able to understand the concepts associated with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), control plans, and measurement systems.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certification in Project Management or equivalent is appropriate, but not required.
