Toyoda Gosei North America (located in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Purchasing Summer Intern . The Purchasing Intern will assist Buyers at the Corporate Purchasing level while obtaining exposure to components and raw materials procurement as well as supporting individual Toyoda Gosei (TG) group companies (plants) throughout North America.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Supporting Buyers in day to day activities such as sourcing meetings, cost reduction initiatives, and requests from TG group companies and cross-functional departments
- Shadowing purchasing team members in supplier meetings and negotiations
- Assisting with analyzing cost breakdowns including benchmarking activity of manufacturing processes
- Supporting completion of Price Change Authorization (PCA), Sourcing Recommendation Authorization (SRA) documents, and Request for Quotations (RFQ)
- Completing additional tasks as assigned by Management
