What are the responsibilities and job description for the Precision Setup Operator (Hiring Immediately) position at Toyota Boshoku?
This position involves previous experience with metal stamping presses. This person will be responsible for the following :
- Attaining efficiency targets (work with equipment and die maintenance on countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence)
- Planning for successful die changes (less than 5 minutes) and coil changes (less than 3 minutes)
- Maintaining Kanban system on one press
- Quality - Work with Group Leader to determine countermeasures for internal and external rejects
- Housekeeping - Daily organization and cleanliness for one press and surrounding area
- Following TBTN's standard work procedures, safety, quality, and productivity
This person must be a team player and a goal oriented achiever capable of assisting in a fast paced, work environment. Experience as a setup operator is beneficial in this role. Experience in automotive metal stamping and / or welding would be a plus. Experience and accuracy with precision measuring instruments is a must. Ability to accurately read blue prints is a must. Qualified applicants will have good communication skills (both verbal and written) and effective interpersonal skills. This person must have a basic mathematical aptitude. Computer experience, specifically : Office software (Excel, Word, etc.) would be a plus. This person must be able to work with a minimum of direct supervision. Successful candidates must be willing and able to work overtime including weekends with minimum notice.
