Quality Controller
A Quality Controller oversees the quality control operations during their designated shift. They maintain the overall plant quality system and direct team members in assigned manufacturing areas to execute group responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as a first-line leader over team members, monitoring staffing conditions, work hours, and overtime, job rotation, and absenteeism.
- Develop and maintain positive team member relations centered on mutual trust, dignity, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, teamwork, and harmony.
- Provide direction and motivation to team members emphasizing safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction, and morale.
- Lead and maintain the assigned area, accomplishing departmental hoshin goals, and keeping on task with targets and implementation schedules.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three years of relevant manufacturing experience required.
Work Environment:
The Quality Controller works in an open office environment, moderate noise level, with standard automotive plant environments, and occasional presence of some slightly disagreeable conditions.
