Job Summary
As an EHS Specialist at Toyota Boshoku America, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall safety and health of all plant aspects. This includes compliance with OSHA and state-related safety regulations, team member health and wellness, and workers' compensation. You will coordinate the planning, organizing, scheduling, and implementation of safety policies, programs, and procedures within the plant. Additionally, you will monitor site conditions, practices, and procedures for compliance with health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist management in implementing loss control and accident prevention measures to comply with TBA mission and objectives.
- Evaluate safety problems and recommend corrective measures.
- Develop, implement, and manage safety policies, programs, and procedures.
- Conduct periodic safety audits, including identifying and promptly informing management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Investigate incidents and unsafe working conditions, compiling statistical data and providing remedial actions to achieve effective accident and loss prevention.
- Coordinate industrial hygiene programs by establishing baselines and developing systems that reduce workplace exposures.
- Serve as a principle source of information on safety and health of team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years diversified experience in safety, loss prevention, emergency response management, consulting, supervision, and administration in a manufacturing environment.
- Certification as Occupational Safety and Health Technician (OSHTEC), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
