Starting hourly wage: $27.90, increasing to a maximum of $35.00 per hour within three years.
I. General Summary:
Support the manufacturing areas (Stamping & Injection Mold) by minimizing downtime, increasing productivity, and maintaining the Toyota Production System as well as company policies/procedures. Set up and operate CNC machines to improve dies, fixtures, molds, and equipment preventative maintenance.
II. Essential Job Functions:
A. Support tool room activities on all production equipment and facilities.
B. Make components for repairs and improvements on stamping dies, fixtures, and molds.
C. Set up, program, and run CNC and manual machines in the tool room to produce needed components.
D. Use MasterCam, Solid Works, or AutoCAD daily to draw, modify, and program tools.
E. Manage machine uptime and downtime.
F. Heat treat new details to required specifications.
G. Troubleshoot parts when issues occur.
H. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area and equipment.
I. Document completion of all required processes in Asset Essentials.
J. Collaborate with the tooling die repair technician to ensure proper installation of new details.
K. Read technical drawings and blueprints.
L. Use measuring tools and gauges.
M. Work with the Engineering department to improve processes.
N. Perform other duties as assigned.
III. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Education:
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Machinist 1 certificate/diploma or equivalent required.
• Tool and Die certificate/diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
• 2-5 years of Tooling, Machining experience required.
• 2-5 years of experience with CAD, CNC programming required.
• Experience drawing and programming with MasterCam preferred.
• CNC, Machine shop, and Kaizen experience a plus.
• Stamping die repair experience a plus.
• TIG/MIG Welding and fabrication a plus.
Personal/Technical Skills:
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Flexibility in a changing working environment.
Language Skills:
• English, both written and verbal.
Computer/Software:
• Basic Microsoft Office applications.
• MasterCam, Solid Works, AutoCAD, or other programming software.

Plant: Automotive manufacturing plant
Travel: 0-10%

The team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing and is occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
