Laser Machine Operator (Part-Time)
Afternoon shift Monday - Friday from 4pm to 8pm
What We're Looking For:
As a Part-time Machine Operator, you will work with a small team from 4pm to 8pm. You must have a strong work ethic, be reliable and consider yourself a go-getter. We are looking for someone to operate our Trumpf steel cutting CNC machine according to blueprints and specifications. We need a decision maker who likes to be challenged, and can always be counted on to exercise sound judgement. Someone who likes to be hands-on, wants to learn new skills, be part of a team, and advance within a growing company.
- 2-5 years of experience operating machines (mentioned above)
- Experience operating multiple machines at once preferred
- Mechanical aptitude (skilled using hand tools and instruments)
- Ability to trouble shoot alarms and understand technicalities of machine
- Fast paced individual willing to cross-train
- Ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
A Day in the Life:
- Operate Trumpf laser cutting machine
- Lifting and handling of steel plates using overhead crane, clamps and magnets.
- Labeling and organizing parts to meet production standards
- Using technical knowledge, troubleshoot alarms or errors that may be encountered
- Clean & maintain department equipment.
- Maintaining equipment preventative maintenance schedule logs.
- Required to understand and use safety equipment reflective of department.
- Able to organize assigned tasks, for completion alone or with help.
- Cross-training and support of other production departments.
- Read and understand work order paperwork.
