COMMERCIAL CREDIT INVESTIGATOR (Temporary)
About the Job:
The Commercial Credit Investigator (temporary, with potential for full-time conversion) is responsible for underwriting small and medium ticket commercial loans and lease transactions for material handling and commercial truck products. The role primarily provides first level credit investigation and has credit approval authority to make credit decisions on less complex credit requests. The role provides administrative and analytical support to the Credit Analysts and will perform functions in investigating credit requests.
What You'll Do:
- Identify and research system and customer information to accurately identify customer profile and existing accounts and prepare requests for Credit decisioning.
- Serve as a primary liaison between TICF and dealerships across United States in order to coordinate accurate completion of credit requests.
- Analyze and decision retail and lease offerings within approval limits.
- Work with speed and accuracy. Assist dealers with processing credit requests and provide the highest level of service by maintaining timely turnaround at or better than scorecard objectives
- Build Partnerships. Communicate and negotiate with dealerships daily to present competitive credit decisions based on sound rationale.
- Collaborate with Credit Analysts to ensure efficient and accurate credit decisioning.
- Collaborate with Funding staff to resolve discrepancies and assist in timely funding of contracts.

Must Have:

- Ability to negotiate with confidence in a positive manner.
- Ability to precisely present reasoning for credit recommendation
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills required.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment under pressure to meet both internal and external deadlines.
- Ability to work as a team and build collaborative relationships with partnering departments in the organization as well as with our dealers and customers.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work flexible hours.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Great to Have:
- A. or B.S. degree in Finance, Accounting, or other Business-related discipline. This may be an entry level position for recent college graduate however will consider combination of some college and experience in related position as an offset for degree requirement.
- Experience working in commercial credit processing and decision making.
- Prior experience working for a captive lender, finance company or bank.
- Industry knowledge for material handling equipment and/or commercial truck financing/leasing knowledge desirable
- Experience working with dealerships in Commercial Equipment, Commercial Truck or Automotive industry.
